An Afternoon of Tea and Living History
Tickets for this event will go on sale Monday, April 13, 2026.
Nestled at the intersection of Lewis and Charles Street in Fredericksburg, Virginia stands a frame house steeped in American history. We invite you to join us for A Mother’s Blessing, a special Tea Talk event held at the very place where George Washington came to seek his mother’s blessing before becoming the first president of the United States. The highlight of this event will be a captivating reenactment by Lee Ann Rose, who brings Mary Washington to life. Through her portrayal, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the personal side of Mary and George Washington—as a son seeks guidance and support from his mother.
