Are you ready to sip, savor, and step into history?

A lively Tea Talk featuring Lee Ann Rose as a spirited 18th-century tavern keeper. With decades of theatrical experience, Rose brings history to life through engaging portrayals of iconic American women.

Join us for a very special Tea Talk on Tuesday, November 11th, at the Rising Sun Tavern Museum, home not only to George Washington’s brother, Charles, but also to the Golden Eagle Tavern from 1792 to 1827. Immerse yourself in the charm of the 18th-century tavern as historical reenactor, Lee Ann Rose, takes center stage, portraying a spirited tavern keeper. Her captivating performance will transport you to a time when taverns were the crossroads of community, conversation, and culture.

Lee Ann Rose has extensive experience in all facets of stage presentation, and 20 years as a Theatrical Interpreter and Character Interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg, playing such historical women as Jane Vobe, tavern keeper, and Martha Washington. In 2014, she founded Shades of our Past, LLC. She and her husband now offer dynamic living history programs covering all eras of American history, including portrayals of Martha Gellhorn, Mary Todd Lincoln and Susan B. Anthony.
