Have you ever heard of a Cream Filbert?

First invented in the 1700s, they’re part of the sugar plum family, where a seed or nut was rolled in layers of sugar over days or weeks for a perfect shell. Learn the story behind this 18th century sweet and many more!

Please join us on Tuesday, November 12th for a very “sweet” Tea Talk with Susan Benjamin as she shares the evolution of candy and its impact on history as we know it. From sugar coated rose petals and stained-glass candy during colonial times, to penny candy made possible by the Industrial Revolution, and even retro-favorites of the mid 1900s – there’s so much more to candy than its sugary taste. Best of all, Susan will provide sweet samples for guests to enjoy!

We are pleased to offer two seatings for this event, please purchase your ticket for the time desired: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Ticket purchase includes a Full Tea with a selection of savories and sweets, hot tea, presentation by our guest speaker and sweet samples.
