Twilight History- An evening history program for youths ages 8 - 12

Youth 8-12 years of age will explore American history and follow in the footsteps of George Washington, his family, and his friends.  They will learn about history with hands-on activities, projects, and games at Hugh Mercer Apothecary, Mary Washington House, and Rising Sun Tavern. Children will learn about 18th-century food, medicine, and daily life as they explore the places that George Washington knew well.  In this evening program, activities will take place outside in small groups. WHM will comply with CDC guidance at the time of the event.

For more information, please contact us at YouthPrograms@WashingtonHeritageMuseums.org or at (540) 373 5630. Registration closed at noon on June 13.

While the youth are busy traveling through history, parents/guardians are free to enjoy three summer evenings in downtown Fredericksburg after dropping off their children. After purchasing tickets, you will receive an email confirmation along with a link to fill out a registration form required for each child attending.

Support history education for youth with a sponsorship of this program. Donations of $100-249 will be acknowledged at the Candlemaker Level, and donations of $250 or more will be acknowledged at the Lamplighter Level. Both sponsor levels will be acknowledged on shared social media and with at least one event email blast.
